Passion and Perseverance

When I started my business 20 years ago...I had the passion to coach people, write books and build a speaking business. Passion fueled my dreams and I was able to accomplish all these dreams and build a business.  However obstacles did arise over time. My first decade was fueled by passion and my first book titled Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos. But to go the distance the next decade would be fueled by Perseverance. I wrote two books on Immunotherapy, after healing breast cancer using the Immune System, I also took on a consulting role as a Patient Advocate and Health Educator, very challenging and rewarding! Have you noticed in your life when you start out with certain goals and life adjustments happen, that then defines you? Whatever your passionate pursuits are these days you need to persevere to make these dream come true!  My hope for you as this summer winds up, is you reignite your passion and persevere in accomplishing your dreams and goals. If you're local or visiting So. California stop in for a visit!

Expressing Your Freedom

When you are feeling burdened by too many demands on your time...find a way to express your freedom and schedule some me- time. When you have to clear something up with a trusted friend or worker how can you get your freedom of speech needs met? If you looked at this blog on expressing your freedom and had an immediate thought come to mind, well that's the freedom you need to address straight away.

Since we are creatures of habit we can go along to get along, yet expressing freedom has always been a big effort. All forward thinkers have had to step out of the box or on the box and shout their truth.  Having been a frequent speaker & exhibitor at a conference called Health Freedom Expo I enjoyed collaborating with those who attended. We are all so passionate to tell the world that your  proactive health disciplines are worthy and important in this chaotic world.

July 7th is the official anniversary of my vision to do the work I do. I still feel lucky  after twenty years in  the business  of speaking, coaching and writing that I  get such joy working with  individuals, groups and audiences expressing my researched ideas and ideals. For all the digital communication in the lives we live today, there is still nothing like freedom to express ourselves and connect with others  face-to-face!

Managing Chaos with Compassion!!

I am getting ready for a key note speech and had the opportunity to interview people from the department of health. They talked about how the biggest changes in heath with young people are anxiety, depression, social disorders. Overall mental health challenges have spiked in our people today. Young people represent the future and are an out-picturing of the world and the adults that influence them. Adults are feeling the mental health challenge too. I recently heard a salon owner say we no longer have cable in the salon, because the news was causing too much anxiety for our clients and stylists.  They switched to strictly spa like music. Can I get an AMEN!!In my book titled Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos I discuss how we manage both our internal and external chaos. The interesting part of life in 2017 is there seems to be plenty of unrest and external chaos to tango with. Which means we have to be very protective and manage our internal issues to stay in check.Compassion plays a significant role  in being more tolerant of young people and ourselves. If we constantly react or over react we are only ruining our own day. Days turn to months and the next thing you know you say 'that was a tough year'. I challenge you to find a way to cultivate more peace in your day. When we are peaceful in our hearts we can extend more compassion and tolerance to those around us. Develop rituals at morning or night to get centered. Put on Deva Premal music  to lift you...and reading inspirational messages helps too!!! Namaste

Tell the's more Interesting!

Have you ever noticed how much movies and documentaries based on true stories grab our attention? Partly because we know it's not made up and partly because Truthful Matters are so compelling.
We are in some unprecedented times...have you noticed? Social Media has created a new world where what I say goes, even if I haven't got anything to back it up. The new genre of Fake News has a whole new following of junkies. People speak from the place of what can I get if I say this or that and it doesn't matter if it's untrue, as long as I keep getting more views.

RENEWAL...A New Lease on Life!!

Spring gives us the chance to begin a new. Fresh ideas, a new look at old situations... what we need to keep what & we need to release.
For example this is the time of year people get exercising and eating right. We have more energy for goodness sake.
Now some parts of the country may not be in full spring yet..
but it's there silently waiting and inviting us to renew.
Spring Renewal is part of Self Love.
We have to shed our old ways to start something new.

IGNITE your's Spring!

During growth seasons in our lives we exert extra energy. When we take risks we stir up uncertainty and vulnerable feelings because we are out of our comfort zone. Anytime you take on extra responsibility or work, you need to give yourselfA Spring Break.

That doesn't mean you can just pack your bags and head to the Islands, but it does mean you can take time out and do some things that make your heart sing.
